Melissa Chaney is an artist, art educator and art conservator. She practices her trade in her home studio in Raymore, Missouri.

Melissa, owner/operator of South Street Studio offers her art for purchases as well as private and group art lessons in her creative space. Mrs. Chaney holds a K-12 license to teach art in the state of Missouri and has 30 years of experience teaching Painting and Art History at the college level. She is passionate about educating others within all realms of art.

Her artwork ranges in subjects from golf courses and collage to landscapes painted en plein air. She is available for private commissions..

Melissa holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri, a masters degree in Art Curriculum from the University of Central Missouri as well as a Specialist Degree in Painting and Art History from the Kansas City Art Institute.
